ADDENDUM TO PSC INTERNAL ADVERT NO. 8 OF 2025

The Secretary, Public Service Commission would like to inform all eligible Serving Officers in Government Ministries and Local Governments that some corrections have been effected in the above Advert. In addition, new positions have also been added as indicated below.

Applicants who have been affected by corrections effected in the Advert are encouraged to apply for other positions for which they meet the qualifications. The deadline for submission of applications for this addendum advert is Monday 24th November, 2025 before midnight. The deadline for the main Advert remains the same.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine; or Agriculture; or Food Science; or Agribusiness plus a Masters Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/Institution. Possession of Post Graduate Diploma in Management or Education will be an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at a Principal Level in Government.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal -Bukalasa Agricultural College for performing the following duties:-

-        Preparing lectures, teaching and assessing students on specific courses of study;

-        Coordinating the preparation of Departmental schemes of work and teaching plans;

-        Coordinating the orientation program for new students;

-        Counselling students and staff with personal and academic problems and ensuring their welfare;

-        Enforcing discipline of students;

-        Coordinating all Institutional development programmes;

-        Overseeing and enforcing proper conduct of internal and external examinations and invigilation;

-        Requisitioning equipment for training and ensuring their rationale distribution, utilization and maintenance;

-        Preparing academic plans, programmes and schedules (timetable) for theory and practical teaching in the Institution;

-        Coordinating periodic reviews of the Institution’s curriculum to ensure responsiveness to the market needs and demands;

-        Supervising and appraising staff that report to the Principal;

-        Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
