ADDENDUM TO PSC INTERNAL ADVERT NO. 8 OF 2025

 

The Secretary, Public Service Commission would like to inform all eligible serving Officers in Government Ministries and Local Governments that some corrections have been made in PSC Internal Advert No. 8 of 2025. In addition, new positions have also been added as indicated below.

 

 

The deadline for submission of applications for this addendum advert is Friday 28th November, 2025 before midnight.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized University/Institution A Postgraduate Diploma in a related field of study will be an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience which should have been served at the level of Engineer in Government.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Civil/Structural Engineer for performing the following duties:-

-        Producing structural Engineering designs for Government building construction projects that are not being handled by Consultants;

-        Checking Structural Engineering designs and technical reports on Government building construction projects prepared by Consultants;

-        Supervising and monitoring construction works on Government building construction projects undertaken by Contractors;

-        Checking Consultants’ fee notes, Contractors’ payment certificates and project final accounts on Government building construction projects;

-        Rendering technical advice on Structural Engineering matters to other Government Departments, parastatals, Non-Government Organizations and the general public;

-        Investigating building construction related accidents, assessing structural integrity of public structures and preparing technical assessment reports to ensure safety;

 

-        Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
