ADDENDUM TO PSC INTERNAL ADVERT NO. 8 OF 2025

 

The Secretary, Public Service Commission would like to inform all eligible serving Officers in Government Ministries and Local Governments that some corrections have been made in PSC Internal Advert No. 8 of 2025. In addition, new positions have also been added as indicated below.

 

 

The deadline for submission of applications for this addendum advert is Friday 28th November, 2025 before midnight.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law plus a Masters Degree in Law; or Transport Economics and Logistics Management; or Business Administration; or Maritime Affairs; or Transport Management; or Public Administration and Management from a recognised University or Institution A Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre in the case of Lawyers Membership with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) or other internationally recognised professional body in the area of Transport Management will be an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at Senior Officer level in Government
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Motor Vehicle Registration for performing the following duties:-

-        Participating in initiating and formulating policies, strategies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient delivery of motor vehicle registration services;

-        Enforcing controls that ensure management and custody of motor vehicle records and number plates;

-        Managing certification processes of Court Orders on motor vehicle transactions;

-        Managing number plates custody, issuance and disposal;

-        Ensuring accurate validation of motor vehicle records in compliance with the set Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures;

-        Managing and maintaining the vehicle make and models database to control importation of vehicles;

-        Managing alteration of motor vehicle records in compliance with set operating procedures;

-        Co-ordinating with law enforcement Agencies to promote compliance;

-        Managing digitization and archiving of motor vehicle records;

-        Coordinating and participating in research into motor vehicle registration processes;

-        Supervising and appraising staff and managing assets of the Section;

 

-        Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
