Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans both serving Public Officers in Ministries/Departments/Agencies and Local Governments and Applicants from outside the Public Service to fill vacant posts.  Applications should be filled ON-LINE not later than 21st August 2018  The link to the e-recruitment system can be accessed through the Public Service Commission website www.psc.go.ug .

 

Applicants are advised to: -

 

a)    Apply ON-LINE;

b)    Scan and submit relevant documents (O’ Level, A’ Level, Degree and Professional Documents, copies of letters of appointment, confirmation and promotion) On-line;

c)     Each attachment must not exceed a limit of 1MB and only portable documents format (PDF) is allowed;

d)    For serving Officers, print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) off the system and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officer.  Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

  iii.  For new Users, register first then log in;

  iv.  Complete your profile (starting with the Bio data moving downwards);

  vi.  Click on a Job from the list of advertised jobs;

 vii.  View the Job Details and Click Apply;

viii.  Review your application and SUBMIT.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in any field of Aviation Engineering or a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License ‘A’ and ‘C’ plus a certificate in instruction techniques Possession of a Bachelors’ Degree in Education will be an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Senior Engineering Instructor in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Chief Engineering Instructor for performing the following duties:-

-       Approving course content and training programs for the Engineering School;

-       Assisting the Chief Engineering Instructor in designing, developing and ensuring implementation of the syllabus and instructional programs of the Engineering School, in accordance with the Civil Aviation (Personnel Licensing) Regulations and ICAO requirements in Airframes, Engines and Avionics;

-  Assisting in the designing and development programs of instruction;

-     Conducting theoretical instructions to students according to the syllabus for the courses and developing course plans and program reviews; setting and marking students tests and examinations and guiding and supervising them in practical training;

-       Maintaining and securing the teaching equipment aids and tools in the area of his/her responsibility, including the workshops and laboratories;

-       Supervising and appraising the subordinates

-  Interpreting and enforcing compliance with Civil Aviation Regulations as applicable.

-       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
