ADDENDUM TO PSC EXTERNAL ADVERT NO. 1/2019

 

The Secretary, Public Service Commission would like to inform all the applicants and members of the General Public that some additional vacant posts are hereby declared and added on PSC External Advert No. 1/2019 which was advertised in the New Vision  Newspaper of Monday 4th March 2019, for filling.  The deadline for submission of applications online for the additional posts listed below will be Friday 17th April 2019.  Arising out of PSC External Advert No. 1/2019 mentioned above and this Addendum, each applicant is allowed to apply for a maximum of two (2) posts.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), or Chemistry or any other related field plus a Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have twelve (12) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been at Assistant Commissioner level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organisation
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Petroleum for performing the following duties:-

-       Coordinating the overall activities of the Midstream Petroleum Department to ensure efficient performance;

-       Leading the research and development of the Midstream Petroleum activities;

-       Leading the licensing, planning and development of midstream infrastructure;

-       Leading the development of budgets, work plans and reports for the Midstream Petroleum Department;

-       Spearheading the promotion of investment in refineries, pipelines and associated infrastructure;

-       Leading the process of developing the policy, legal and regulatory framework for Midstream petroleum operations;

-       Leading the collaboration in the promotion of midstream infrastructure at regional and international levels;

-       Supervising and appraising the staff under the department;

-       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
