Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill available vacancies under Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).   Applications should be filled ON-LINE and submitted not later than 7th June 2021.  The link to the e-recruitment system can be accessed at https://vacancies.psc.go.ug/ors.

 

Applicants are advised to: -

a)     Apply ON-LINE

b)     Scan and submit relevantly documents (O’ Level, A’ Level, Degree Certificates, Academic Transcripts and Professional Documents, copies of letters of employment) on-line.

c)     Each attachment must not exceed a limit of 1MB and only portable documents format (PDF) is allowed.

d)     Officers serving in the Public Service are required to print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from their Responsible Officers.  They should then scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

e)     In case of failure to obtain a recommendation from the Responsible Officer, the extract should still be submitted clearly indicating the reason(s) for the missing recommendation.

c)     If you already have an account, simply click on your right and update your profile.

d)     Click a Job from the list of advertised jobs in the menu.

f)      Review your application and SUBMIT.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor's Degree in either Human Resource Management, or Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or Arts, or Public Administration, or Social Sciences, or Social Work and Social Administration (SWSA), or Business Administration (Management option), or Commerce (Management option), or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution plus a minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in any of the above fields from a recognized University or Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience in Human Resources Management three (3) of which must have been gained at Senior Officer or Supervisory level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Manager Human Resource Operations for performing the following duties:-

1. Planning and monitoring the processing of staff salary and statutory deductions in line with the KCCA Human Resource policy and the Uganda Labour Laws.

2. Reviewing monthly payroll change reports before submission for approvals in line with KCCA payroll management procedures.

3. Coordinating, monitoring and reviewing implementation of the Authority’s benefit and compensation schemes in line with HR policy and existing scheme guidelines.

4. Planning and conducting regular surveys for improvement on staff compensations & benefits in line with the Human Resource Management Manual.

5. Coordinating, monitoring and reviewing the processing of staff overtime in line with HR policy and finance procedures.

6. Coordinating and reviewing teachers and medical workers records so as to ensure up to date pay and benefits relating to the above category of staff in line with public Service Payroll guidelines.

7. Reviewing appointment letters so as to ensure conformity to the approved KCCA salary structure in line with the Human Resource Management Manual.

8. Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual Section report to management

9. Managing performance and development of your direct reports in line with the Human Resources policy and procedures.

10. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
