PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill available vacancies under Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).   Applications should be filled ON-LINE and submitted not later than 7th June 2021.  The link to the e-recruitment system can be accessed at https://vacancies.psc.go.ug/ors.

 

Applicants are advised to: -

a)     Apply ON-LINE

b)     Scan and submit relevantly documents (O’ Level, A’ Level, Degree Certificates, Academic Transcripts and Professional Documents, copies of letters of employment) on-line.

c)     Each attachment must not exceed a limit of 1MB and only portable documents format (PDF) is allowed.

d)     Officers serving in the Public Service are required to print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from their Responsible Officers.  They should then scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

e)     In case of failure to obtain a recommendation from the Responsible Officer, the extract should still be submitted clearly indicating the reason(s) for the missing recommendation.

b)  Click on “register as a new user” to create your account and complete your profile starting with the biodata moving downwards.

c)     If you already have an account, simply click on your right and update your profile.

d)     Click a Job from the list of advertised jobs in the menu.

e)     View the Job Details and Click “Apply now”.

f)      Review your application and SUBMIT.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an honors Bachelor’s Degree in either Photography or Mass Communication (Editing and Publishing), or Visual Arts, or Digital Media, or any other related field from a recognized University or Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years working experience in photography and videography at Assistant Officer or Officer level in Government or any other a busy and reputable organization as well as experience in studio design or photo editing or digital imaging.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor Communication and Media Relations for performing the following duties:-

1. Developing and posting relevant photos via social media channels

2. Editing and formatting photos, video and data for inclusion in the newsletters and/or uploading to the website

3. Supporting the Department of Corporate and Public Affairs in documenting events through video or photos

4. Identifying online and digital media communications opportunities and staying current with emerging issues and opportunities and effectively navigating the changing digital media landscape

5. Creating content for the Authority Internet/Intranet sites and managing material in co-operation with the Department of Information Technology

6. In conjunction with other areas within Media and Corporate Communications, contribute to coordinated, timely video and still responses to a range of issues

7. Developing and implementing a wide range of web-based video initiatives

8. Working with ICT team to maintain a database of videos and photos for archival purposes

9. Providing advice and supporting internal and external stakeholders around video and stills initiatives that support the Authority’s strategic direction and brand.

10. Editing and managing stills via Light room and Photoshop.

11. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
