c)          Each attachment must not exceed a limit of 1MB and only portable documents format (PDF) is allowed.

d)          Print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officers.  Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

Minimum Qualification
Applicant should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Arts in areas related to History; or Archaeology; or Social Anthropology/Ethnography; or Geography; or Tourism; or Education and Fine Art; or Museology; or Natural Science in areas related to Paleontology; or Geology; or Zoology; or Botany; or Architecture plus a Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University / Institution. A Post Graduate training in a management related field will be an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) year’s relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at Senior Officer Level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner, Museums and Monuments for performing the following duties:-

-         Participating in the formulation and review of policies, plans, programs and guidelines for the Museums and monuments;

-         Participating in the formulation of annual, recurrent and capital development estimates for the Museums and monuments;

-         Participating in the identification, assessments and grading of Museums and monuments across the country;

-         Participating in the conservation and management of all museums and monuments;

-         Participating in the Supervision of national, regional, community and private museums and monuments;

-         Participating in supervision of research and publication in museums and monuments;

-         Participating in the implementation and domestication of the conventions and agreements affecting the museums and monuments in liaison with UNESCO and other development partners;

-         Participating in writing proposals for museums and monuments development;

 

-         Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
