     Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill available vacancies in Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies. d)         Officers serving in the Public Service are required to print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officers.  Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Information Technology; or Computer Science; or Computer Engineering; or any other related field plus a Master’s Degree in either Information Systems; or Business Administration; or Management; or any other related field from a recognized University / Institution. Applicants should possess Professional certification in either ITIL or MCSE or CCDP.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Deputy Executive Director for performing the following duties:-

-       Developing, reviewing and coordinating implementation and compliance to approved ICT policies and best practices in line with the KCCA ICT Strategy and industry standards;

-       Planning, coordinating and monitoring customization, implementation and operational support of ICT systems/infrastructure in line with identified departmental needs and timeframes;

-       Reviewing, monitoring and making periodic recommendations for updating the ICT Strategy in accordance with departmental business plans, stakeholder interests and management decisions;

-       Reviewing and monitoring systems security, data integrity and disaster preparedness of all ICT systems/infrastructure and make recommendations for smooth business continuity mechanisms;

-       Studying and monitoring ICT Industry trends/emerging technologies and advise management, staff and sector stakeholders on the best solutions to adopt;

-       Initiating and coordinating staff ICT literacy programs to ensure that systems usage conforms to set quality service standards in line with the KCCA objectives;

-       Developing integrated information sharing ICT systems in line with the KCCA ICT Strategy and Management decisions;

-       Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.

 

-       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
