     Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill available vacancies in Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies. Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Electronic Engineering; or Electrical Engineering; or Telecommunications Engineering; or Communications Engineering from a recognized University / Institution. Possession of at least a Post Graduate Diploma in a Management field or in any of the above related field of training will be an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience at the level of ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Radios) in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Radios) for performing the following duties:-

-      Documenting and maintaining records/database of all licensed spectrum users in Uganda;

-      Monitoring and advising on frequency spectrum usage in the Information, Communications Technology and National Guidance sector;

-      Conducting periodic spot check on EMF emission levels from communications equipment including masts;

-      Monitoring and evaluating implementation of legislations, policies, plans and strategies on radio spectrum;

-      Participating in monitoring and evaluation of technological developments and service trends in the ICT sector on a regular basis;

-      Supervising, monitoring and evaluating implementation of the licensing and regulatory frameworks spectrum;

-      Conducting research on advances and development of the Communications Technologies and trends;

-      Regularly identifying issues (of policy in nature) in spectrum allocations and assignments to be addressed by Government;

-      Supervising and appraising of subordinate staff;

 

-      Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
