Applicants should be Ugandans in a possession of a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two (2) Principal Passes in Science Subjects with a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License, Category ‘A’ and ‘C’. Applicants should have a valid AME License with ratings on both piston and gas turbine engines and an Engineering Instructor License.
Working Experience
Applicants should have nine (9) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Principal Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organisation.

-       Designing, developing and implementing aircraft and other equipment maintenance programs;

-       Approving maintenance requirements and schedules on the advice of the Principal Aircraft Maintenance Engineer;

-       Determining maintenance standards in consultation with the Civil Aviation Schedules and programs of Academy Aircraft and Associated Equipment;

-       Approving the programs of attachment of students from the Engineering School in consultation with the Chief Engineering Instructor;

-       Supervising students on internship placement from other aviation maintenance schools;

-       Preparing development plans for the Aircraft Maintenance Department for consideration;

-       Ensuring proper management and utilization of departmental resources;

-       Preparing estimates of expenditure and procurement plans for the Department;

-       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
