The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Agribusiness Officer for performing the following duties;
- Implementing policies, legislation, regulations, plans, strategies, programs and projects for agribusiness development in Uganda;
- Engaging Local Governments and other Stakeholders on matters related to agribusiness development;
- Collecting and analyzing data on production and soci-economic conditions affecting on-farm and agro-industry operations in Uganda;
- Undertaking cost benefit analyses of the different agricultural enterprises and making recommendation for positive advancement;
- Collecting and generating market prices on agribusiness products (input prices, forecast of products prices) for public consumption;
- Implementing plans and strategies for retooling and building capacity of the Ministry and Local Governments and other Stakeholders in the development of agribusiness in the Agricultural Sector; and
- Implementing plans and strategies for commodity value chain analysis in the Agricultural Sector;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
