Job Details (SENIOR SELECTION SYSTEMS OFFICER (EXAMINATIONS))

d)        Officers serving in the Public Service are required to print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from their Responsible Officers.  Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology; or Human Resource Management/Personnel Management; or Arts; or Social Sciences with Human Resource Management/Personnel Management as a subject; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Education; or Commerce (Management option); or Business Administration (Management option) ;or Business Studies (Management option); or any Bachelor’s Degree with either Literature in English or Mathematics or Philosophy or Industrial/Organizational Psychology as a subject. Knowledge in competence profiling and analysis is an added advantage.
Working Experience
Applicants should have three (3) years relevant working experience in Human Resource Management; or administration of examination in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Selection Systems Officer- Examinations for performing the following duties:-

Compiling data for preparing technical papers and reports in line with the departmental work plans and established professional standards;

Preparing for administration of selection assessments in line with the departmental work plans and established professional standards;

Maintaining the database of examinations conducted and compiling departmental operational reports;

Planning for capacity building programmes and preparing instruction materials;

Maintaining the examination risk register in line with the Public Service Commission Risk Management Policy Framework;

Maintaining a list of the critical success factors for the different job categories to guide in the selection process.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
