d)          Print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officers.  Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law; or Leadership and Governance; or Business Administration (Management option); or Development Studies; or Arts; or Education; or Psychology; or Science; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Social Sciences; or Statistics; or Economics; or Public Administration; or Public Policy and Management plus a Post Graduate Diploma in a relevant field from a recognized University/Institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at Senior Officer level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner- Political Affairs for performing the following duties:-

-       Participating in the development, planning, implementation of policies, programs and guidelines in the Department;

-       Participating in communicating and monitoring compliance of agreed regional actions, policies and projects for the respective sectors;

-       Participating in facilitating consultations with relevant MDAs on East African Community integration agenda in the Political Affairs;

-       Participating in the development and implementation of East African Community integration programs and projects;

-       Participating in the preparation of annual-work plans and Departmental budget;

-       Participating in preparing regular reports and technical briefs on the activities of the Department and the status of integration in Political Affairs;

-       Participating in monitoring Uganda’s compliance with agreed decisions and directives of the Council and the Summit;

-       Participating in the development and implementation of the research agenda of the Department of Political Affairs;

-       Participating in the implementation of matters relating to Regional Integration in Political Affairs;

-       Participating in generating reports on the activities of the Department and the status of implementation of East African Community Summit, Council and Sectoral Council Directives and decisions;

 

-       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
