Mandatory Instructions to Applicants: -

d) Print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officers. Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.
e) Where the designated recommending Officer/Responsible Officer is reluctant or declines to provide a recommendation, the applicant should clearly indicate the reason(s) on the extract of PSC Form 3 (2008) and submit it online without the recommendation
f) Falsification of documents will lead to automatic disqualification.

· Developing templates for data collection systems for unit rate analysis and cost estimates in line with KCCA guidelines and standards;
· Providing technical guidance and estimates on construction costs so as to ensure cost controls;
· Preparing standard Bills of Quantities and verifying quantities in claims in line with the set Ministry of Works and Transport specifications and guidelines;
· Developing and implementing systems of all costs associated with design, construction and maintenance of buildings and roads in accordance with KCCA standards and guidelines;
· Supervising civil works so as to confirm to established standards;
· Carrying out feasibility studies, market surveys and monitor price fluctuation, in order to provide advice on costs;
· Developing and implementing cost optimization procedures for value and money analysis in accordance to KCCA requirements and guidelines;
· Preparing payment certificates to suppliers and contractors in the agreed format;
· Overseeing preparation of tender documents and specifications in accordance to procurement guidelines;
· Preparing and submitting progress reports to management in the agreed format;
· Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
