Mandatory Instructions to Applicants: -

 

a)         Apply ON-LINE.

b)         Scan and submit relevant documents (‘O’ and A’ Level Result Slips and Certificates, Bachelor’s Degree and Post Graduate Transcripts and Certificates, Professional Documents, copies of letters of appointment, confirmation and promotion) on-line.

c)         Each attachment must not exceed a limit of 1MB and only portable documents format (PDF) is allowed.

d)         Print an Extract of PS Form 3 (2008) and obtain recommendation from the Responsible Officers.  Scan the recommendation together with the rest of the documents and submit online.

e)         Where the designated recommending Officer/Responsible Officer is reluctant or declines to provide a recommendation, the applicant should clearly indicate the reason(s) on the extract of PSC Form 3 (2008) and submit it online without the recommendation

f)          Falsification of documents will lead to automatic disqualification.

Minimum Qualification
- Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Diploma in Surveying or any other related course from a recognized institution.
Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of 1-year relevant working experience in surveying
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the for performing the following duties:-

-      Demarcating road reserves and monitoring to ensure non-encroachment.

-      Conducting land survey for identified infrastructure corridors and sites

-      Ensuring quality control of road highway surveys, drainage studies, right of way surveys, mapping and monument/ survey beacon preservation and perpetration.

-      Investigating encroachments on property boundaries and reporting them to the necessary parties for action

-      Coordinating surveying, mapping and right of way activities with other Directorates as well as Agencies that are carrying out activities within the vicinity of right of way.

-      Working with KCCA’s Engineering and Technical Services design teams to assess project related surveying standards and requirements; establishes survey procedures, scope of work and time frames.

 

-      Liaising with officials of other Government Agencies, professionals, Land Surveyors, professional Engineers, land owners, developers and representatives of other Agencies and organizations on matters regarding surveying regulations, policies and technical data.
